It's my favorite time of year! I love Christmas so much. With six grandbabies, planning surprises for them and my adult kids is lots of fun. I love putting together their stockings with special little treats and things they would not otherwise buy for themselves.
We don't have everyone at our house on Christmas every year, as our kids switch off every other year with their spouse's family. This year, everyone will be here the day after Christmas, so I'm planning a simple dinner that includes extended family.
Our family also has some birthdays that we'll celebrate while we are together. My husband turns 6-7 on the 30th (the kids are having lots of fun with this!), and my oldest son's birthday is the 29th. So I'll make some of their favorite desserts. Others will bring appetizers and some other desserts.
